Faculty of Management:
The Faculty, as the first in Poland in the field of social sciences, received the highest distinguishing institutional assessment of the Polish Accreditation Committee, and in the parametric assessment of scientific units announced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the high scientific category.
The Faculty of Management is part of the tradition of the City of Lodz, whose nickname - Promised Land - was originally introduced in the 19th century, as the small city turned into a modern industrial center. Immigrants came to the Promised Land from all over Europe to start new lives and fulfill their dreams.
Through all the roads (...), that came from the every corner of the world to the "promised land", all the paths (...) were filled with people, hundreds wagons made noise, moving with lighting speed, thousands whistles sounded over travellers heads and thousands of eyes glancing at the darkness with the desire to find that promised land"...
Wladyslaw Reymont, Nobel Laureate in Literature, "Promised Land"
